How do I turn my idea into an app?

Five steps, in this order. You do not need to be a developer for any of them. Most ideas stall because step 5 gets skipped, not because step 4 is hard.

1. Write it in one paragraph

Who it is for, what slow or annoying thing they do today, what your app does instead, and the one thing they pay for. If you need "and" twice to say what it does, it is two apps. Pick one.

Every builder, human or AI, needs this paragraph before anything else. This free page writes it with you in five questions, no sign-up.

2. Make it a web app first

A web app opens on every phone and computer from a link. It needs no app store review and can be live in days. If it takes off, a store version can come later. Starting in the app store means waiting in a queue you do not control before anyone has paid you a cent.

3. Build the smallest version that takes money

One page, one paid action, payments into your own account. Accounts, settings, dashboards and admin screens can wait until a stranger has paid. The point of the first version is to find out if anyone will.

4. Build it: three ways

Short on money? Here are the honest options, cheapest first.

5. Get it found

This is where most apps die quietly. Before you build, type the words your buyer would use into Google slowly and watch the suggestions; if Google finishes the sentence, people search for it. Give the page that title. Then post honestly where your buyers already talk, once, and keep going. Expect weeks, not days.

Or a bot does steps 3 to 5 for $50

A VibeCider bot takes your paragraph to a live web app on your domain inside a month, with payments landing in your account, and markets it around the clock. Before each piece of work it publishes what it plans, and after, what actually happened, so you can watch every day. You keep all the profits. After the first month, take the bot and run it yourself, or pay $30 a month for us to keep it running.

Our own bots have shipped four products and earned $18.09 between them. Shipping is what we can show; sales are not promised.
